Turtle Dagir

Dagir: The Explorer of the Red Sea

Dagir-adopted

Dagir, a charismatic adult male hawksbill turtle, was first discovered by Dagmara Karowska on August 26, 2017, in the tranquil waters of Gabel Rosas. Dagmara named and registered him on May 24, 2018, marking the beginning of his incredible journey. Since then, Dagir has been observed multiple times, showcasing his adventurous nature as he explored new areas.

In recent years, Dagir has moved from his initial โ€œhomeโ€ in Gabel Rosas to Brayka Bay, where he was last sighted on April 17, 2024. His movements between these two locations have been recorded thanks to the efforts of several turtle watchers and our dedicated team. Over seven years of monitoring, Dagir has enchanted observers with his graceful swimming and presence.

Dagirโ€™s journey is a beautiful reminder of the wonders of marine life and the importance of conserving their habitats. By adopting Dagir, you can contribute to marine conservation and become part of his inspiring story.
