Yoyo – The Time Traveler of Hermes
Yoyo, a green turtle, has been a familiar face at Hermes Bay since 2018.
With a pattern of sightings spanning years, Yoyo’s enduring connection to this reef speaks to her adaptability and the rich habitat of Hermes.
Her recent resurgence in 2024 highlights the reef and seagrass bed’s continued importance as a haven for marine turtles.

Your digital adoption package includes:
- A personalized digital adoption certificate
- A fact-sheet about the turtle you are adopting and the story of your turtle
- Your adopted sea turtle featured on our website
- Special post on our social media (Facebook and Instagram) for your turtle
Once we receive confirmation of the donation, the turtle’s adoption form (make sure the name on the donation and the adoption form match) and the payment receipt, we will issue you (or the recipient) with the adoption certificate with details about the sea turtle. Please allow 7 working days, following receipt of payment, for the certificate to be issued.
