Yougs: The Rising Star
In the vibrant corridors of Sha’ab Quais, a new face is making waves. Meet Yougs, a spirited sub-adult hawksbill recently identified by Amandine Chanvrier. Not quite a juvenile but not yet a fully grown adult, Youngs represents the “teenagers” of the turtle world—full of energy and constantly on the move between the corals.
Yougs is at a fascinating stage of life, growing fast and exploring the reef with fearless curiosity. Adopting Yougs is an invitation to follow a journey of growth. Your support helps us protect the “nursery” areas where sub-adults like Yougs learn the secrets of the reef before heading out into the deep blue.

Adoption plans
Your digital adoption package includes:
- A personalized digital adoption certificate
- A fact-sheet about the turtle you are adopting and the story of your turtle
- Your adopted sea turtle featured on our website
- Special post on our social media (Facebook and Instagram) for your turtle
Once we receive confirmation of the donation, the turtle’s adoption form (make sure the name on the donation and the adoption form match) and the payment receipt, we will issue you (or the recipient) with the adoption certificate with details about the sea turtle. Please allow 7 working days, following receipt of payment, for the certificate to be issued.
