Turtle Uzzo

Every once in a while, a turtle comes along that simply captures the heart of everyone it meets. That is exactly what happened with Uzzo, a stunning Green sea turtle and one of the newest residents of Hermes Bay.

Uzzo’s journey into our catalog is a special one, thanks to Georg Ivan. After meeting Uzzo in the turquoise waters of the bay, Georg was so touched by its gentle spirit that he insisted it become a part of our adoption program, ensuring this beautiful creature gets the recognition and protection it deserves.

Uzzo is what we like to call a "curious soul." While many turtles are shy, Uzzo seems to have a natural fascination with the world around it. It is often seen gliding gracefully through the seagrass, occasionally pausing to take a long, curious look at its surroundings, as if it’s trying to memorize every coral and every fish in the bay. There is a sense of quiet wonder in the way it moves, making every encounter feel like a peaceful conversation between species.
