Reina – The Peaceful Queen of the Reef
In 2025, a beautiful green turtle was seen gliding gracefully through Marsa Mubarak. She was registered by Volker Wollert, who gave her the name Reina — “queen.” True to her name, she is often seen calmly grazing among the seagrass, a serene ruler of her underwater kingdom.
Her gentle nature makes her a joy to encounter. By adopting Reina, you’ll be helping to safeguard the bay where she reigns and supporting vital conservation work for sea turtles.

Your digital adoption package includes:
- A personalized digital adoption certificate
- A fact-sheet about the turtle you are adopting and the story of your turtle
- Your adopted sea turtle featured on our website
- Special post on our social media (Facebook and Instagram) for your turtle
Once we receive confirmation of the donation, the turtle’s adoption form (make sure the name on the donation and the adoption form match) and the payment receipt, we will issue you (or the recipient) with the adoption certificate with details about the sea turtle. Please allow 7 working days, following receipt of payment, for the certificate to be issued.
