Pebble — Where Seagrass Grows, She Follows
Pebble is a beautiful green sea turtle who calls the calm waters of Makadi Bay her home.
She was first recorded in 2024 by Lisa Riesterer, who quickly fell in love with her peaceful presence and later requested for Pebble to become part of our symbolic adoption program.
True to her species, Pebble is a devoted seagrass lover.
Day after day, she can be found slowly grazing the underwater meadows of the bay — helping keep the seagrass healthy and the ecosystem in balance. With her unhurried movements and relaxed nature, Pebble perfectly represents the quiet harmony of Makadi Bay.
By adopting Pebble, you are supporting the protection of her home and the long-term monitoring of sea turtles in the Red Sea — one gentle bite of seagrass at a time.

Your digital adoption package includes:
- A personalized digital adoption certificate
- A fact-sheet about the turtle you are adopting and the story of your turtle
- Your adopted sea turtle featured on our website
- Special post on our social media (Facebook and Instagram) for your turtle
Once we receive confirmation of the donation, the turtle’s adoption form (make sure the name on the donation and the adoption form match) and the payment receipt, we will issue you (or the recipient) with the adoption certificate with details about the sea turtle. Please allow 7 working days, following receipt of payment, for the certificate to be issued.
