Manta: The Little Gem of Sha’ab Claude
Small, agile, and incredibly precious: meet Manta. Discovered by Amandine Chanvrier at the beautiful site of Sha’ab Claude, this juvenile hawksbill is one of the newest and youngest additions to our catalog. Named for its graceful, almost bird-like movements through the water, Manta is a reminder of the fragility and beauty of life on the reef.
As a juvenile, Manta’s survival is key to the future of the Red Sea’s turtle populations. Every scute on its shell is a piece of a puzzle we are just beginning to solve. By adopting Manta, you are investing in the long-term future of conservation, ensuring this “little gem” has the chance to grow into a legend of the reef.

Your digital adoption package includes:
- A personalized digital adoption certificate
- A fact-sheet about the turtle you are adopting and the story of your turtle
- Your adopted sea turtle featured on our website
- Special post on our social media (Facebook and Instagram) for your turtle
Once we receive confirmation of the donation, the turtle’s adoption form (make sure the name on the donation and the adoption form match) and the payment receipt, we will issue you (or the recipient) with the adoption certificate with details about the sea turtle. Please allow 7 working days, following receipt of payment, for the certificate to be issued.
