Turtle Kiki

Kiki’s Resilience: A Tale of Survival and Care

Kiki-adopted

Meet Kiki, the majestic adult male green turtle whose presence has graced the waters of Marsa Abu Dabbab and Hermes bay 141 times since 2011. Kiki’s enduring presence in these azure depths symbolizes the resilience and beauty of marine life.

However, in 2019, tragedy struck when Kiki was found injured in Marsa Abu Dabbab, with an extended wound along the back part of his carapace. Despite this setback, hope prevailed as we rallied to his aid, initiating a dedicated monitoring effort.

With the help of dedicated turtle watchers, we monitor Kiki’s progress in the water, observing his movements and recovery process. Each day, his resilience serves as a beacon of hope, reminding us of the importance of compassion and stewardship in protecting our marine treasures.

As Kiki continues his journey of healing, join us in supporting his recovery and advocating for the conservation of marine habitats. Together, let us ensure that Kiki’s story inspires generations to come, symbolizing the power of resilience, care, and hope in the face of adversity.
