Ahmed the Green Turtle: A Tale of Transformation
Meet Ahmed, the enigmatic green turtle who graces the waters of Marsa Abu Dabbab with his presence. Spotting Ahmed while diving or snorkeling has become a cherished tradition, with his appearances documented 83 times since 2010.
Ahmed’s story is one of growth and discovery. Initially observed as a sub-adult turtle, it wasn’t until 2019 that we witnessed his transformation into an adult male, shedding light on the life cycle of green turtles.
As Ahmed glides through the turquoise depths, he serves as a reminder of the delicate balance of marine ecosystems. Now, you have the chance to virtually adopt Ahmed and support our conservation efforts. Join us in celebrating the remarkable journey of this majestic creature.

Your digital adoption package includes:

Once we receive confirmation of the donation, the turtle’s adoption form (make sure the name on the donation and the adoption form match) and the payment receipt, we will issue you (or the recipient) with the adoption certificate with details about the sea turtle. Please allow 7 working days, following receipt of payment, for the certificate to be issued.
