Meet Kawi, an inspiring green turtle from Makadi Bay, recovering from a past injury. Thanks to Ivan Puglisi and Carlo Cogliati from iDive Makadi, and the team of Piano Diving Club we’ve documented his conditions and followed up on his recovery process, together with specialised veterinaries.

Important Reminder: Injured turtles need space and quiet to recover. Always stay at a respectful distance and avoid disturbing them. Designate one person to calmly document any visible injuries for proper evaluation and guidance. Together, we can ensure their well-being.

We’re thrilled to share a new sighting from Mars

We’re thrilled to share a new sighting from Marsa Shouna! 🎉 Natalie Thomas has spotted an adult male green turtle that was previously seen in 2018. While we have some historical data, we’re still missing a few key details to officially register this majestic individual. Any additional observations or photos would be super helpful! 📸✨

Natalie also captured images of Zafa, one of our beloved hawksbills from Elphinstone. 🐢💙 These sightings are critical in helping us learn more about the turtles in the Red Sea and track their movements.

Meet Tomasina, a beautiful green turtle spotted and registered at Fantazia House Reef, thanks to the keen eyes of our young observer, Nicolò Tomasetti. 🐢✨ Nicolò, who is just a child, has shown us that age is no barrier when it comes to caring for marine life and contributing to conservation efforts. 🌍💚

Tomasina now joins our database of Red Sea turtles, helping us better understand and protect these incredible creatures. Huge thanks to Nicolò for his enthusiasm and dedication—our youngest citizen scientist is making waves! 🌊👏
