Meet Olaf – The Gentle Grazer of Marsa Mubarak
Say hello to Olaf, one of the newest additions to our Turtle Watch Egypt family!
This beautiful green sea turtle was recently identified and registered in our catalog by Volker Wollert, a dedicated supporter and sea guardian who has been helping us monitor the magical bay of Marsa Mubarak.
Olaf is a calm and curious turtle, often seen gently gliding through the shallow waters, minding her own business and doing what she loves most: munching on delicious seagrass! 🌱💚
She can spend hours grazing peacefully on the seagrass meadows, which are not just her favorite food — they’re also vital for the health of our oceans. As she feeds, Olaf helps keep the ecosystem balanced and thriving, proving that even the smallest bite can make a big difference.
Though she’s only recently joined our catalog, Olaf has already made a big impression with her laid-back nature and steady routine. She reminds us of the beauty of living slowly, being present, and taking care of the world beneath the waves.

Your digital adoption package includes:

- Your adopted sea turtle featured on our website
- Special post on our social media (Facebook and Instagram) for your turtle
Once we receive confirmation of the donation, the turtle’s adoption form (make sure the name on the donation and the adoption form match) and the payment receipt, we will issue you (or the recipient) with the adoption certificate with details about the sea turtle. Please allow 7 working days, following receipt of payment, for the certificate to be issued.
