Onu: The Gentle Wanderer of Na’ama Bay

In October 2024, an adult male hawksbill turtle named Onu was registered after being spotted for the first time by diver and photographer Remo Weishaupt in the vibrant waters of Na’ama Bay.

With his beautiful patterned shell and calm presence, Onu seems to carry the serenity of the sea wherever he goes. Thanks to this sighting, Onu has joined our TurtleWatch Egypt family. By adopting Onu, you support our conservation work and help protect the marine world he calls home.
