Onyx – The Watcher of Middle Reef
Strong, graceful, and unmistakable, Onyx is an adult male hawksbill turtle who has been gliding through the vibrant waters of Middle Reef since 2023. First spotted by Amandine Chanvrier, he quickly earned a reputation as a quiet guardian of the reef.
With his dark, richly patterned shell and calm demeanor, Onyx seems to move with purpose, patrolling the coral gardens like he knows every twist and turn. There’s a quiet wisdom in the way he swims — a reminder of how much life the reef holds, and how vital it is to protect it.
Adopting Onyx means supporting one of Middle Reef’s most majestic residents, a true symbol of endurance and elegance beneath the waves.

Your digital adoption package includes:

Once we receive confirmation of the donation, the turtle’s adoption form (make sure the name on the donation and the adoption form match) and the payment receipt, we will issue you (or the recipient) with the adoption certificate with details about the sea turtle. Please allow 7 working days, following receipt of payment, for the certificate to be issued.
