Tortuga – The Gentle Guardian of Makadi Bay
First spotted in 2025 at the Royal Azur Coral in Makadi Bay, Tortuga is a large green turtle with a calm and gentle presence. He loves to rest peacefully in the quiet corners of the bay, as if keeping watch over its colorful reefs.
Registered by Daniel Hempelmann — who also became the very first to adopt him symbolically — Tortuga’s story is already special. By adopting Tortuga, you’ll help us protect these magical waters and the turtles who call them home.

Your digital adoption package includes:

- Special post on our social media (Facebook and Instagram) for your turtle
Once we receive confirmation of the donation, the turtle’s adoption form (make sure the name on the donation and the adoption form match) and the payment receipt, we will issue you (or the recipient) with the adoption certificate with details about the sea turtle. Please allow 7 working days, following receipt of payment, for the certificate to be issued.
