Turtle Janek
Janek is a fully grown male green turtle who has been around Marsa Mubarak since 2019, but only joined our catalog in 2025 thanks to the contribution of Volker Wollert, who was eager to adopt him. Often spotted feeding peacefully on the seagrass meadows, Janek seems to have grown a little less shy over time, allowing us to enjoy his calm presence more often. Strong, graceful, and a true guardian of the bay’s seagrass beds, Janek is now an unforgettable part of our turtle family.
